JOIN THE TEAM

Structural engineer -

We are looking for a structural engineer to join our busy and friendly team at PCA. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, an excellent communicator, organised and methodical and, most importantly, will have a real passion for architecturally challenging building design.

You will have a degree in civil or structural engineering and will be prepared to work on a wide range of projects, from small domestic projects to multi-million-pound developments, within a variety of business sectors.

We are based in a beautiful area of the UK where exciting, and often stunning, new-build and redevelopment projects are commonplace. We help our clients’ dreams become a reality. We like to say: “There is always a way!”

We probably don’t need to tell you this, but your main tasks will include the preparation of structural calculations and specifications, effective designs that use steel, masonry, timber and concrete, and making sure projects are completed to agreed budgets and timescales.

We need you to be computer literate with knowledge of AutoCAD and typical engineering modelling software. Some site experience would be useful and a clean driving licence would be preferable too. You will need to be able to work independently and as a crucial part of our great team.

Your salary will be dependent on your experience, along with a decent holiday package. A blend of office and home working can be accommodated for the right candidate.

Send your CV and a covering letter to sophia@pcaconsulting.uk.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Engineering surveyor -

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced engineering surveyor to join our team at PCA. The successful candidate will be commercially minded and will have excellent customer interaction skills.

You will hold a relevant qualification, preferably RICS or working towards membership, but more importantly you will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, well-organised and methodical. Knowledge of the beautiful area in which we work would be an advantage too, but is not essential.

You will support the work of our consulting engineering team by compiling building and engineering surveys, carrying out contract administration, preparing specifications and carrying out party wall surveys.

In short, you will be an intrinsic part of our team.

Your salary will be dependent on your experience and will come with a decent holiday package. While you will clearly spend time on site, a blend of office and home working will be considered for the right candidate.

Send your CV and a covering letter to sophia@pcaconsulting.uk.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
