Ecolodge, Wiltshire

This fascinating building has been conceived as a totally carbon neutral building, with structural materials sourced as far as possible from the surrounding wood in which it stands.

The building has a green oak frame ‘skeleton’ with softwood stud and rafters and is clad in timber boarding and cedar shingles.

Thermal mass is gained via a central cob stack.
